Our Story
Nothing happens by accident. The currents of time and destiny carry us all to where we’re meant to be.
That's how it happened for us!
Our love story unfolded exactly the way destiny had intended. We met through mutual Facebook friends in February 2012. We were instant friends, sharing a history of work in video production and photography. Over the next year and a half, we became best friends. We realized that each of us was the missing piece to the other’s soul and fell head over heels in love.
In 2014, we decided to join forces and create Clean Slate Digital Media. In our work as event videographers and photographers, we’ve filmed and livestreamed medical conferences across the U.S. and Europe, monster truck shows, boat races, corporate galas, and more. Our favorite thing to do is wedding photography on the weekends, though. It’s by far the most artistically rewarding work we do.
I love you forever...
On November 26, 2016, we became husband and wife in Evergreen, Colorado. It was a small ceremony; just us, the officiant, Heather’s best friend from childhood, and our photographer. And a family of mule deer that wandered around during the vows. It was a picture perfect setting as we devoted our hearts and souls to each other. We finally heard those words said to us, “You are now husband and wife.”
Like any two people deeply in love, getting married was about more than a piece of paper from the state of Colorado. It was about the end of one journey and the beginning of another. We’d both spent our lives in search of each other. Meeting, becoming friends and falling in love was the first part of our story. Becoming husband and wife started a new chapter. Each day, we write a new page.

We have 6 kids between the two of us from teenagers up to adults in their 20’s. When we started dating, the oldest among them was barely 16. The youngest was just 5! Over the years they’ve become the best of friends and true siblings. We’re in awe of each and every one of them and raising them all together has been one of our greatest joys and accomplishments.
Our blended family includes two dogs and two cats and we’ve had many adventures over the years! From beach trips and camping to an amazing Florida getaway in 2020 just before the pandemic to bonfires at the house during lockdown, we cherish the time we have with our children as they grow up, move out, and begin their own adventures.

For years is just Heather & Rob! We love working together and continue to do so. But in the wake of 2020, as Heather’s job in Baltimore demanded more of her time, she had to step back from Friday weddings. In 2022, Curt Miller contacted us and expressed interest in shadowing us on a wedding. He was a photographer local to our area and had been following our work for some time. After meeting him, we knew right away he would be a perfect addition to our team. He’s extremely talented and love sci-fi so he and Rob hit it off right away.
Curt began doing weddings with both of us in 2022 and in 2023 acted as a 2nd shooter for Rob on several weddings. Every time his work impressed both us and the client and in 2024 we’re bringing him on “Full Time” as an associate shooter available for 2-photographer weddings.
